GREENQUAT® BT – natural, cationic conditioner offered by IMPAG

GREENQUAT® BT is a patented, 100% plant-derived, readily biodegradable copolymer with high cationic charge derived from sugar beet. It can flexibly replace synthetic conditioning ingredients (ammonium chloride derivatives, hydroxypropyltrimonium, silicone and polyquaternium derivatives) commonly used in hair care applications.

It is worth to emphasize that conditioning products of sustainable origin are very limited in number, while GREENQUAT® BT offers an excellent solution even if used as the only functional cationic substance. It provides excellent moisturization, smoothing, conditioning, anti-frizz and antistatic effect. Additionally, the product protects hair color, improves detangling, as well as softness without build-up on the hair. All these benefits are based on studies. The use of GREENQUAT® BT in the formulation improves the sensory evaluation of the finished product.

The ingredient does not sensitize and irritate the skin. Therefore, apart from regular applications such as shampoo, conditioner, cleansing lotion and body care product, it is perfectly solution for children’s hair care products as well. 

GREENQUAT® BT is specifically developed for improved compatibility and transparency in anionic surfactant systems. Moreover, usable with non-ionic, cationic surfactants and the most polar solvents. It can be used in a wide range of pH and in cold processing. In addition to the excellent conditioning properties in rinse-off products, GREENQUAT® BT improves the quality of the foam, which appears creamier, softer and shinier.

0,25 – 0,5 % – replace the need to use silicone derivatives
